Wax Seal: Overview

So this would be a nice little first post project before I do anything too in depth and it will allow me to get a good feel on how to set things up. (Trying to figure out if I should right a “This is what I’m doing” or “This is how I’m doing it” or “Here’s how you can do it too.” post. Maybe I’ll just do some really weird mesh of styles and see what happens.)

Over the past few days I’ve been working on a wax seal so I can stamp letter I send out with it to make it look official and cool.

Besides the generic things such as paper and pencils I’ve used…

Equipment:
CNC Milling Machine (Sector 67)
1/32″ Mill Bit
EMC2/AXIS

Software:
Paint.NET
Inkscape
Cambam

General Steps
1) Design.
2) Mill Prep-work.
3) Mill.

The Start.

“Welp, I think it’s about time to try creating a site as a portfolio again.”
“Maybe if I use WordPress then there won’t be much overhead for just posting silly messages or images of cats”
“Wow I really need a place to organize things”

These are the thoughts running through my head which convinced me to make a WordPress site to display a list of weird things I’m doing. So… TADA here it is, my WordPress site!

Before you say something like “But Chuck, you know how to design websites. Why are you using WordPress when you can create your own CMS specified for exactly what you want to do.” I must say something along the lines of “Well child, when you grow up you will have this thing called a job. This mystical thing will take up a lot of time and energy. After that mystical thing the last thing you want to do is design a CMS for projects.”

And that is all.

Well… Almost.
There might be a lot of weird pages popping up while I’m playing with WordPress.

Now that is all.
